In essence, Vuplayer acts as a standard VUMeter receiver using the same circuitry and software, but also implementing advanced features including Vuplayer library and session sharing among multiple VUMeter recordings. The latest addition to the VUMeter family is Vuplayer, which is a digital audio player/lavender player/remote that connects to VUMeter through a serial port. These new technologies have allowed VUMeter to provide greater accuracy as well as resolution in comparison to other audio recording devices. VUMeter has been greatly improved since its early conception due to the input of new technologies like electronic samplers, optical filters, as well as computer-generated noise control. Since then VUMeter has been continuously developed and enhanced in terms of both functionality and accuracy, as well as in appearance. I think the rose team should make a coupling with my smart lighting so it has a stroboscope function in sync with the music. For a closed system I think the Rose team does a pretty good job. What that also means that the only one who can fix non-standard features is you. It’s not an open system windows computer where you can tweak everything to your hearts content. The Rose is a very complex device and the only thing simple about its inner functions is complaining about it. It’s a very simple device that works without impeding the signal. One is on my amplifier showing the output power (hardly ever moves) and the other is on my passive preamplifier.
The funny thing is, my VU meters always work. It’s nice to have but it’s not something you need to monitor your recording level or something. I gather all my files on the internal SSD. I noticed that if I use the usb input of the Rose it handles a direct dsd stream differently from the files from the internal SSD.
